Featuring distinguished speakers that cross disciplinary boundaries, the 2008-09 Leadership Lecture Series explores the global, political, cultural, and social issues relevant today.
Featured speakers include internationally acclaimed author Naomi Wolf, renowned paleoanthropologist Richard Leakey, former Special Envoy to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan Stephen Lewis, immigration expert Marcelo Suarez-Orozco, and Native American author and screenwriter Sherman Alexie.

ABOUT THE LEADERSHIP LECTURE SERIES The Leadership Lecture Series invites nationally-known speakers who enlighten, challenge, inspire and demonstrate that all people have the ability to lead if they have the desire to make a difference. Sponsored by UNCW Presents, the series seeks to spur students' critical thinking abilities and encourage debate on topics relevant to students personally and as members of society at large.
