MovieMakers and Scholars Series: World Shorts

Mariana Johnson, Assistant Professor of Film Studies, will be introducing "World Shorts," a series of international shorts from the the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival 2006. The screening includes six films from Romania, Brazil, Rwanda, France, South Africa, and Thailand (total running time 100 minutes). Dr. Johnson will talk about the growing importance of international perspectives in both film scholarship and film production and, after the screening, will lead a discussion about the individual works.
