ABOUT THE PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE
The UNCW Percussion Ensemble has performed concerts in Kenan Auditorium, at the UNCW Intercultural Festival, and at the Latino Festival at CFCC, as well as in schools throughout the region. The ensemble’s persona changes from marimba band to West African drumming group to traditional percussion chamber ensemble, depending on the occasion.
The March 15th performance will showcase an eclectic mix of percussion instruments ranging from timpani to tin cans, cymbals to clay pots, and bells to bamboo windchimes.
