Recounted from the book "Savage Grace," this intense true crime story tells the tale of Barbara Baekeland's death. Brooks Baekeland is the son of the Bakelite, the beginnings of plastic, inventor. When Brooks' money pool begins to dry up, he weds Barbara, an aspiring high society socialite. When the couple finds out that their son Antony is homosexual, Barbara takes an active role in "curing" him, leading her to her downfall.
