Department of Music presents Jerusalem lyric Trio / 7:30 pm Cultural Arts building recital hall
The Jerusalem Lyric Trio is a unique Israeli ensemble that highlights the religious and cultural heritage of the Jewish people in its performances. Since 1995, they have performed imaginative, dramatic programs throughout Western and Eastern Europe, the United States, South America, Russia, and Israel.
In addition to well-known classical repertoire, the Jerusalem Lyric Trio presents works inspired by Biblical texts, Jerusalem, the landscape of Israel, the Holocaust, and familiar songs (in Hebrew, Yiddish, and Ladino). They frequently represent Israel in international music festivals, including Prague's Old Testament in the Arts , Judische Kulturtage in Munich, Musical Spring in St. Petersburg, the Eighth International New Music Festival in Riga, Encuentros in Buenos Aires, the Czech Republic'c's Concentus Moravaie, and the Budapest Spring Festival 2000.
