Peering Into Non-Fiction
We are looking for 7 teams of students to complete seven dioramas for this exhibition. No prior art experience necessary!
Exhibition runs October 14 - November 5 at the Boseman Gallery (Fisher University Union, 2nd Floor). An artist reception will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 6-7:30pm. The exhibition and the reception are free and open to the public.
The term "diorama" denotes a partially three-dimensional, full-size replica or scale model of a landscape, typically
showing historical events, nature scenes or cityscapes, for purposes of education and/or entertainment. This exhibition brings this year's common reading election, A Long Way Gone, 'memoirs of a boy soldier' to life through miniature scenes created
by students. Students interested in joining this exhibition should contact Shane Fernando at fernandol@uncw.edu or 910.962.7972.
