The course focuses on a user-friendly approach to improvising and listening to music. Using mallets and other percussion instruments, learn fundamental musical elements and create your own music while working in small and large groups. Develop listening skills by focusing on a variety of American composers in both classical and popular styles. No prior musical experience is necessary, but some familiarity with and an interest in music are recommended.
