Evening of Brass

The UNCW Brass Studios ensemble and Faculty Brass Quintet presents the semi-annual Evening of Brass Concert at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 19 in Kenan Auditorium.

ABOUT THE ENSEMBLE

Co-Founded by Dr. Johnson and Mr. Ackerman in the fall of 2003, the UNCW Faculty Brass Quintet performs both on and off campus for classes, demonstrations, and recitals. The quintet is comprised of all the applied brass faculty as well as exceptional students to complete the ensemble. Current faculty members of the ensemble are Mr. Chistofer Ackerman, trumpet; Dr. Crystal Britton, horn; Mr. Jerald Shynett, trombone; and Dr. Daniel Johnson, tuba.
