UNCW Piano Day: masterclasses, workshops, teachers sessions and more with UNCW piano faculty

8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

$20 tuition fee includes all events, materials and lunch.

Piano teachers and students, please join the UNCW Piano Faculty for an exciting day of piano workshops, master classes and recitals.

All students will receive a sample piano lesson, perform on a master class, and participate in workshops. The masterclasses will be given by UNCW piano faculty. Selected students will perform in an afternoon recital attended by all Piano Day participants. Registered teachers may attend any of the masterclasses or workshops scheduled.

A special feature this year is an invitation to attend the dress rehearsal of the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Steven Errante, with the winners of the Richard R. Deas Concerto Competition. Allison Freeman, piano, is the high school winner and a student of Barbara Furr. Ms. Freeman will perform Concerto in G minor by Saints Saëns. Will Piner, saxophone, is the UNCW winner and is a student of Frank Bongiorno. Mr. Piner will perform Concertino da Camera by Ibert.

Pre-register no later than Wednesday, Feb. 4 to reserve your place and to allow us to plan masterclass sessions.
