UNCW Creative Writing Department Announces 2004 Writers’ Week

WILMINGTON, N.C. –The University of North Carolina at Wilmington Department of Creative Writing announces its fourth annual Writers’ Week symposium from Monday, March 15 to Friday, March 19. During the week, graduate and undergraduate students of the art of writing gather to foster the discussion of craft. Distinguished writers will read from recent works and readings are followed by book signings. All craft seminars, panels, Q & A sessions and readings are free and open to the public.

MONDAY, MARCH 15

2 - 3 p.m. Alumni Question & Answer Session in King Hall auditorium

3:30 - 5 p.m. Q & A Session with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Tracy Kidder in King Hall auditorium

3:30 - 5 p.m. Publishing Panel with John Sullivan, GQ editor and Creative Nonfiction writer; Vince Gotera, NAR editor; and Amy Hughes, former senior editor at Penguin.
