Actress Kate Clinton Appears at UNCW March 20

Wilmington, N.C.--The University of North Carolina at Wilmington Office of Campus Diversity and the PRIDE Student Organization present Kate Clinton at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 20 in Bryan Auditorium, Morton Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Clinton is an actress, panelist, host and political comedienne. Her material about modern family relationships and her perspectives on life as a gay American are illuminating and delivered in a fresh and savvy way. Clinton has written and performed in the one-woman shows, “Correct Me If I’m Right,” “All Het Up” and “Out Is In.” She has appeared on Good Morning America, Nightline, Entertainment Tonight, and the Rosie O’Donnell Show, for which she was a writer. Clinton has also appeared in several productions of The Vagina Monologues and has six comedy albums to her credit including Babes in Joyland, Comedy You Can Dance To, and Read These Lips. Clinton writes a monthly column for The Progressive and The Advocate and her first insightful and funny book, Don’t Get Me Started, is based on past and present monologues. She is currently at work on her second book, Kate Clinton: Collected Speeches [I Never Gave] (working title).
