Author Rick Bass Reading at UNCW

WILMINGTON, N.C.—Nature writer Rick Bass will read from his work at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2 at in King Hall auditorium on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Admission to the reading is free and refreshments will be served afterwards.

Bass is the author of Colter: The True Story of the Best Dog I Ever Had, The Hermit’s Story: Stories and more than a dozen other books of creative nonfiction and fiction. Bass will teach in the Department of Creative Writing as a Distinguished Visiting Writer this fall.

The reading is part of the annual Katherine Buckner Lecture and Reading Series. Charles F. Green III established the Buckner Lecture Series, in honor of Katherine K.
