Memory and Presidential Elections Topics for Two Public Forums

Wilmington, N.C. - “A Presidential Election Forum” will be presented from 7 to 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13 at the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Cameron Hall, Room 102. The panel, moderated by Department of Political Science chair Tom Barth, will include professors Lee Johnston and Stephen Meinhold, Star News reporter Mark Schreiner, Democratic Party leader Helen Worthy and Republic Party leader Charlton Allen. Admission is $10.
“Our Brains: How Do We Remember: What Works and Why?” will be presented from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15 in Cameron Hall, Room 102. UNCW psychology professors Julian Keith, Dale Cohen and Len Lecci will explore the workings of the brain and their influences on memory. Admission is $10.
Both forums are co-sponsored by the UNCW Division for Public Service and Continuing Studies. Reserved seating can be obtained by calling 910/962-3644; however, walk-ins are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
