UNCW to present screening of It’s A Wonderful Life

Wilmington, N.C. – The University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Department of Film Studies will celebrate the holiday season with its sixth annual It’s A Wonderful Life gala at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 in the Warwick Center Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public, with complimentary popcorn and soft drinks available during the screening.

Using the Capra family’s personal 35mm print, Frank Capra Jr., president of EUE Screen Gems Studios, will host this holiday screening of the beloved 1946 classic, which stars James Stewart and Donna Reed.

Following the screening, Capra will participate in a panel discussion with Department of Film Studies professors Tim Palmer and Dave Monahan. The panel will be moderated by department chair Todd Berliner. A complimentary catered reception will follow.
