With Kernan Manion, M.D,. and Work/Life Design associates

By Jaclyn Thomas, Student Intern

Wilmington, N.C. – Metabolize your body at the gym, but metabolize your mind with Kernan Manion in his spring session as he explores “MindSense—Tools for Enhancing Your Emotional Self-Awareness and Crafting Well-being in Your Life” from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12. The cost of the workshop is $49, which includes a healthy lunch. Space is limited to 40 people. For registration and location, phone 910/962-3195.

Learn what you can do to craft a life of well-being. Choose to live well and join Manion as he introduces a new framework to banish those “funks” we are all prone to by applying an understanding of where the mind gets its emotional energy. Amy Pierce, massage therapist, will also introduce relaxation techniques.

Discover the seven components of the MindSense model of mind. Examine how the mind “metabolizes” stress and how emotions mingle with each other in a toxic emotional pool that too often weighs us down and precludes us from living life fully.

Discover how to use your mind to dismantle the toxic stress cascade, and learn how to access those revitalizing “bliss” emotions (love, peace, joy, pride, delight) to revitalize our bank of emotional well being. Delve into a new you!
