Wilmington, N.C. – The Department of Film Studies at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, as part of the Friday Moviemakers Series, presents documentary filmmaker Adam Alphin at 1 – 4 p.m. Friday, March 18 in Morton Hall’s Bryan Auditorium on the UNCW campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Alphin will screen and discuss his documentary "Thank you, Eddie Hart," an uplifting, true story about a North Carolina soldier killed in WWII and buried in the Netherlands. A Dutch family, grateful for their freedom from the Nazis, adopted Hart's grave and have cared for it for the past 57 years. Narrated by Pat Hingle, "Thank you, Eddie Hart" recently won a regional Emmy.
