UNCW Artist Recital Series presents Soprano Eversole April 16

Wilmington, N.C.— Soprano Bridgid Eversole will perform as part of the University of North Carolina Wilmington Department of Music’s Artist Recital Series at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 16 in Kenan Auditorium. General admission tickets are $5; UNCW students are admitted free with a valid ID.

Joining Eversole will be UNCW faculty Patricia Ainspac, piano; Nancy King, soprano; Robert Nathanson, guitar; Michael Waddell, clarinet and Mary Jo White, flute. Also performing will be Larry Cook, harpsichord and Michael Hickman, cello. This chamber music recital will feature works of François Couperin, Franz Schubert, G.F. Händel, and William Bolcom, among others.

Eversole, soprano, has recently returned to Wilmington since completing her master’s of vocal performance at the University of Minnesota, where she studied with Jean del Santo and Wendy Zaro Mullins. While in residency, she was a recipient of the Sutton Opera Scholarship, and performed as an ensemble member with the university’s Opera Theatre. In addition to her operatic appearances, Eversole has appeared as soprano soloist in Vivaldi's Gloria, Fauré's Requiem and Haydn's Missa Brevis. While completing her undergraduate degree in vocal performance at UNCW, she won the Richard R. Deas Concerto Competition and was honored as the UNCW Department of Music Distinguished Graduate. Eversole, originally from Baltimore, Md., was also named a Maryland Distinguished Scholar for Talent in the Arts.

Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the University of North Carolina Wilmington and are used to support the Department of Music through scholarships for UNCW music students.
