UNCW professor discusses law and politics

Wilmington, N.C. – Stephen Meinhold, an associate professor of political science at the University of North Carolina Wilmington will discuss changes in the American political process from 7:30-9 a.m. Tuesday, April 19.

Meinhold will focus on the interplay between law and politics. Topics include the role law and the courts have in American government from the founding of the country through recent court cases dealing with emerging public policy issues.

Meinhold co-authored Judicial Process: Law, Courts and Politics in the United States and has had research published in Political Research Quarterly, Social Science Quarterly and the Justice System Journal.
