Comic Heffron to Perform as Part of UNCWelcome Back Week

Wilmington, N.C. - John Heffron, winner of NBC's hit reality series Last Comic Standing, is coming to University of North Carolina Wilmington. The Detroit funnyman will be performing at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15 in Kenan Auditorium as a part of UNCWelcome Back Week. This event is being sponsored by the UNCW Association for Campus Entertainment (ACE). Classes for UNCW students begin Wednesday, Jan. 11.
ACE is a student organization that seeks to coordinate various that promote opportunities for educational, social, and cultural growth for students and the campus community.
Heffron has made numerous television appearances including NBC's The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn his own half-hour special Comedy Central Presents, and many others. Last year he landed the lead role in the VH1 sitcom Smash.
Tickets are $10 for UNCW students, $12 for UNCW faculty and staff and $15 for the public. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Kenan Auditorium Box Office or by calling 910.962.3500.
