UNCW Creative Writing Alumna Catherine McCall to Read From Acclaimed Memoir

WILMINGTON, N.C.-Catherine McCall, a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington MFA program in creative writing, will read from her recently published memoir at 8 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 28, in the Randall Library Auditorium on the UNCW campus.
Lifeguarding: A Memoir of Secrets, Swimming, and the South (Harmony, 2006), was named one of the 50 Hot Summer Books by Entertainment Weekly and chosen to receive one of three Reader's Prizes by Elle.
This event is free and open to the public. A reception and book signing courtesy of Pomegranate Books will follow.
