Big Buddy to Fish with UNC Wilmington on National Make a Difference Day

Volunteers of the University of North Carolina Wilmington and the Big Buddy program to will be paired with “little buddies” for a fishing tournament.
WHEN: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 WHERE: Kure Beach State Recreation Center, 1000 Loggerhead Rd. WHAT: Little buddies ages 6 to16 years and UNC Willington students, faculty and staff will fish and do other activities together as part of national Make a Difference Day. The event is organized by the Cape Fear Volunteer Center. The event is part of the Saturday Seahawk Surge service program organized by the UNCW Center for Leadership Education Service (CLES). Media are invited to interview participants and capture hands-on activities by request.
