No Ticket Scalping
North Carolina law prohibits any person from selling or reselling tickets for more than $3 greater than the combined face value of the ticket and tax. Any person who sells or offers to sell a ticket for a price greater than the price permitted by North Carolina General Statute § 14-344 shall be guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor.
E-mail Messages to Faculty and Staff
Marketing & Communications reserves the right to disperse information to all UNCW faculty and staff through direct e-mail. Such messages will be limited to emergency and/or breaking news that directly impacts the well-being of faculty, staff and students, or messages from the Chancellor's Office. We will gladly post any UNCW departmental news and events on @UNCW.
Translation
One of the benefits of being Web-based is the ability for the information to be translated. We recommend AltaVista at http://babel.altavista.com, which enables Web site translations in several languages. Just copy-and-paste a Web address into their "Translate a Web page" field.
Announcements and Focus on People will remain on the site for a week from the date of posting. Printing on the same day each week ensures that readers are receiving important information - without repetition.
PDA and Pocket PC
Handheld device users can also use @UNCW. Use the Skip to Content link at the top left of each page. The text wraps automatically to fit the screen.
