Enlarge Logo The purpose of the Black Student Union is to observe and improve the general welfare of black students and race relations on the campus of the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Serving as a unit to hear, evaluate, and when appropriate, recommend to appropriate officials, corrective actions when areas of concern emerge that negatively affect black students. Sponsoring various forms of educational, social, and entertaining activities for the campus community. Promoting black awareness and unity throughout the university community. Serving a catalyst to promote unity and awareness among black students at UNC-Wilmington. To facilitate and enhance the academic success and professional advancement of our members. To maintain and promote active communication and interaction with regional, state and nation organizations as well as community organizations.
